Job Description


Use your strong Accounts Payable experience to take on an Accounts Payable Inventory Lead position with Factory Motor Parts.  You will use your attention to detail to review and audit invoices from our AP processors, prepare check runs for Management’s review, analyze monthly vendor statements and collaborate with internal departments to resolve complicated account issues.  You will work closely with the AP Supervisor and AP Manger to uphold the high standards in the Accounts Payable Department.

The Accounts Payable Inventory Lead will report to the Accounts Payable Manager.


The Accounts Payable Inventory Lead will have content expertise in the following areas and will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate by the Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Process, research and review inventory vendors via EDI reconciliation.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor in training new employees.
  • Review and audit manually matched invoices against receiving documents and purchase orders.
  • Audit, review and cut checks for weekly/monthly inventory payments.
  • Analyze reconciled monthly vendor statements.
  • Resolve escalated issues and complete quality assurance checks.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complicated account issues.
  • Meet scheduled monthly deadlines.
  • Work directly with the Purchasing department, warehouse managers and vendors.
  • Provide support for supervisor as necessary.
  • Backup other Accounts Payable Leads and the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned by management.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Minimum 2 year Degree in Accounting or Finance, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Commitment to preserving confidentiality.
  • Solid problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.


This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.


5+ years of Accounts Payable experience. 

2 year Degree in Accounting or Finance, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
