Job Description

The Data and Content Administrator will provide leadership and management of company and vendor supplied data that interfaces with our internal systems, cataloging, eCommerce and Customer Service. They will function as a liaison between the IT/internal customers and vendor partners and will participate in developing and leading new company initiatives and processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Data and Content Administrator will have content expertise in the following areas and will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate:

  • Supports external suppliers and internal departments by collecting data maintained in our Enterprise systems to ensure consistency, reliability and accuracy.
  • Responsible for data administration and consolidation utilized in our systems
  • Regular interface with category product teams to ensure that catalog/data work meets customer requirements
  • Responsible for accurate ACES & PIES data for all automotive product categories.
  • Responsible for Battery Catalog builds to various vendors and catalog solutions.
  • Responsible for Power Sports line to build catalog from recognized data standards
  • Responsible for overall coordination, implementation, and execution of category electronic data requirements.
  • Provides recommendations to enhance, simplify and correct internal data and streamline processes
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, timeliness and completeness per company standards
  • Establish & maintain cross references/interchanges for product.
  • Responsible for scheduled data updates to Epicor, WHI, etc.
  • Troubleshoot catalog/data issues and documenting and communicating to appropriate parties
  • Coordinate creation of any new part numbers with proper description, reporting codes and relevant cross references into enterprise system.
  • Research any incoming application issues from the field and bring to resolution
  • Support specific projects as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

The Data and Content Administrator will work in concurrence with Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Sales and Customer Service.

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to extract and analyze information from our current operations systems, (data warehouse, Elite Extra, JMO, Prophix) and present in Excel/PowerPoint format.
  • General knowledge of Automotive Industry.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Experienced auto parts background.
  • Knowledge of automotive electronic catalog resources.
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently to meet objectives.
  • Effectively adapt to changing business direction and company strategies.
  • Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Office including Access and Excel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, MIS, or related
  • 3 + years, wholesale or jobber, experience in the Automotive industry
