Job Description

Factory Motor Parts is looking for a fun, creative, energetic, hardworking, team player to take the lead on our video production. The Media Production Specialist will work with the Senior Marketing Manager(s) on the planning, production, editing and publishing of all digital and online media. In addition, this role will oversee all the related equipment, inventory, and work with IT on vendor accounts that support video production. The ideal candidate will be able to take the ideas of the marketing team and turn them into captivating, entertaining videos and training modules.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for directing, filming, editing and distributing all video productions within the company.
  • Collaborates with marketing department to capture ideas and understand advertising needs.
  • Consults with marketing department and advertising agencies to determine project goals, locations, and equipment needs.
  • May require up to 20% travel.
  • Assists with additional media production requests as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • A self-starter, highly motivated, 'get-the-job-done' attitude.
  • Ability to initiate and execute projects with minimal oversight.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with standard business and database software (MS Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Excel, Oracle SQL).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Possess strong project and time management skills with the ability to capture and manage action items.
  • Good oral and written presentation skills.
  • Able to conduct business in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.
  • Automotive knowledge preferred.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have knowledge of all aspects of video production, including studio lighting and basic audio.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe CC.
  • Experience with a wide range of camera technology (HD PTZ cameras, DSLRs, GoPro)
  • Experience with green screen technology.
  • Experience with still photography (lighting and composition).
  • Experience with graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Possess portfolio of diverse video work that reflects creativity, storytelling skills, lighting skills, audio capture skills and music integration preferred.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Marketing, Finance, Media Production).
  • 1-3 years of experience in video production.

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
