Job Description

Factory Motor Parts is looking for a Mobile Device Support Specialist to join the fast paced IT team at our corporate office in Eagan, MN. Qualified candidates must have strong customer service skills and be able to successfully troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mobile device service and support issues across the organization.

Additionally the Mobile Device Support Specialist will:

  • Provide technical support to Factory Motor Parts employees regarding to all mobile devices and respond to requests via our ticketing system, telephone, email and in-person.
  • Perform device configuration, maintenance, installation and process optimization to support the enterprise.
  • Provide support to all FMP teams to ensure that all mobile Devices and activations are in complete compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Work with mobile device vendors on break fix initiatives, battery replacements, and RMA's with manufacturer's warranty defects including on both Apple and Android devices.
  • Help determine the technical configurations & settings for mobile devices to comply with company policies.
  • Enforce mobile device security, push software to devices and provide the organization with a real time inventory of all FMP Mobility Equipment.
  • Engage in the design, implementation and deployment of new mobile solutions to meet customer requirements and drive efficiency.
  • Implement all aspects of mobile device lifecycle from receiving assets to testing and repurposing. Play an active role in decommissioning mobile assets and disposing of legacy equipment, receiving daily shipments including terminations and new business inventory.
  • Maintain security and compliance regarding company information on company owned mobile devices.
  • Monitor and control mobile device inventory and mobile asset management along with metrics that illuminate efficiencies or opportunities for growth.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Position :

  • 1-3 years in a customer service, help desk, or other technical support role in a fast pace environment.
  • A background in mobile device configuration, iOS and Android device support is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated follow through.
  • Ability to understand, research, and report on problems, and work with various products and vendors to offer the most appropriate solution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, clearly communicating complicated concepts over the phone, in person, and in writing.
  • Ability to work in highly dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to accommodate after-hours and on-call weekend shifts per the department rotation schedule.
