Job Description

Factory Motor Parts is looking for an experienced National Delivery Operations Analyst to join our Operations team! This position is responsible for developing task assignments within a project, and conducting business analysis as directed by their Manager to improve the productivity of the field delivery operations organization on a national level. The analyst ensures good communication and maintains documentation for the overall project solutions, and will provide strategic recommendations.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and maintaining financial models to determine and assess customer delivery costs, including new business opportunities, as well as evaluating existing customer profitability.
  • Responsible to model transportation and network strategy for delivery between Factory Motor Parts locations or distribution network opportunities.
  • Manage Delivery and GPS software program.
  • Delivery Scorecard Reporting.
  • Develop, manage, and provide training for Driver Standards/Expectations.
  • Assist with training of Dispatch Managers, Location Managers, and other Delivery positions as needed.
  • Will work closely with Location Managers and the Operations Management Team to assist in optimizing efficiency, productivity, and workflow processes associated with the day-to-day warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Management of Courier contracts, including analytics and cost studies in support of carrier negotiations and rate proposals.
  • Assist with development of new processes, validation of existing processes, maintaining process documentation & version control and operations improvement.
  • Support daily/weekly/monthly operating plans, including staffing and delivery route projections, volume/throughput analysis, and contingency operating plans.
  • This position will require travel of up to 25%.

  • Current on industry practices and best-in class methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Warehouse, logistics and delivery expertise.
  • Ability to prioritize project and tasks.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS degree in operations, project management, logistics, or business

    OR

  • Four to Five years of experience in increasingly responsible roles related to analysis of operations, logistics, and warehouse functions in a distribution company.
