Job Description


  • Executes orders to buy commodity chemicals and or other tangible products on behalf of Splash.
  • Processes requisitions, purchase orders and will assist with invoice reconciliation.
  • Uses various qualitative and quantitative tools to evaluate information.
  • Analyzes inventory and develops buy recommendations.
  • Identifies product overages/shortages.
  • Performs supplier management, customer liaison for order entry, forecasting.
  • Establishes and maintains effective supplier relationships.
  • Accesses and compiles large amounts of data and applies statistical techniques to analyze the data, forecast, interpret, and quantify trends on various aspects of information.
  • Maintains and interprets spend and savings data to measure supplier performance, identify trends, and gaps.
  • Contributes to the selection and management of key suppliers through appropriate analysis, evaluation and documentation.
  • Communicates regularly with internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of stakeholders’ business and opportunities and anticipates their needs/requests.
  • Uncovers issues, evaluates various courses of action, and promotes the best option for resolution.
  • Analyzes and recommends the use of alternative sources or materials to reduce cost.
  • Aligns with sourcing initiatives and leverages internal and external resources to assist with and performs research to develop the supply base. Develops a comprehensive understanding of the supply base.
  • Conducts spend analyses of moderate complexity to support sourcing related activities, using intermediate to advanced analytical modeling techniques to understand supplier price and cost.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Job Requirements


  • Comfort level with a very high volume, fast paced operation in a time sensitive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess strong analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to build strong internal relationships and be able work collectively/collaboratively across the organization
  • Stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate time sensitive duties.
  • Experience analyzing and documenting medium to complex business processes or problems using intermediate to advanced statistical and analytical modeling techniques and with a focus on detail, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and stakeholders to build strong internal and external relationships while maintaining a high sense of urgency and customer focus.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks with varying and sometimes competing timelines.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • 1-3 years related experience in logistics/supply chain management.
  • Previous experience with purchasing commodities.
