Job Description

Due to continued expansion and growth, Factory Motor Parts is looking for an experienced fast paced Regional Pricing Analyst to add to our pricing team located at our corporate headquarters in Eagan, MN.

The Regional Pricing Analyst position will report to the National Pricing Manager and will assist with corporate and regional pricing strategies and price optimization. This position will be involved with all channels of the business and will also be responsible for taking the lead with Installer, Dealer, and Fleet pricing strategies.

This individual will review and analyze the company's product pricing compared to competitors in the market place based on market price research. Responsible for developing pricing options to meet competitive opportunities and provide input for profitability projections and corporate pricing strategy. To establish, maintain and analyze price reference documentation and to make recommendations that will facilitate optimal pricing decisions to be made by Pricing, Marketing, Merchandising and Sales teams.

  • Provide pricing analysis and reporting for management.
  • Take the lead with all pricing aspects for Installer, Dealer and Fleet channels.
  • Analyze and create summaries of competitive pricing.
  • Work with Product Management to develop and implement product price strategies including segment strategies for the various markets and channels.
  • Download and organize baseline price information, analyze and report on inconsistencies and identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through price strategies.
  • Establish a system of documentation and reporting to show the impact of implemented pricing decisions to the company’s bottom line.
  • Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required.
  • Execute customer price changes in internal system.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin.
  • Perform semiannual review of vendor pricing strategies and recommend methods to optimize pricing.
  • Analyze current sales trends to identify SKU specific opportunities to maximize margins.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc analysis on methods to optimize price through market and pricing strategies along with helping Regional Pricing Analysts on special projects.

Job Requirements


  • Must be well-versed in the use of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must have strong analytical skills including experience in pricing strategies, pricing optimization, and pricing analysis.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to interpersonal communication skills.
  • Looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to take initiative with little direction.
  • Must be able to multi-task and perform in a fast-pace environment.


  • Experience within the Automotive industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Five years related experience


  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
