Job Description

Factory Motor Parts is searching for a data driven, technically savvy Financial Analyst at our corporate headquarters in Eagan, MN.

The role will work as part of a team of more senior analysts in the Financial Planning and Analysis Group (FP&A) who serve as financial advisors / liaisons to Operational and Corporate functions. The Financial Analyst will be tasked with simple to moderately complex analysis tasks that range from periodic reporting and analysis, to forecasting and budgeting. Work is deadline specific and is occasionally high-pressure. The department is expected to develop deadlines and work appropriately to meet those deadlines.


The Financial Analyst will have content expertise in the following areas and will be responsible for the reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate by the Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor:

  • Financial performance reporting and analysis (monthly)
  • Developing financial models to assist in production planning and manufacturing cost analysis
  • Access and distribute daily financial data
  • Assist with month end reporting and closing
  • Analyze P&L statements
  • Automation of business process that result in improved efficiencies
  • Perform reconciliations and JE's as requested
  • Ad hoc requests from the executive management team

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis methods
  • Excellent understanding of databases and computer software systems
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills for financial presentations as well as communicating written guide lines and procedures for field compliance.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to keep information strictly confidential
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of corporate accounting, sales and operations policies and procedures


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in a Financial Analyst or equivalent role
  • Experience working with reporting building software (SSMS, MS Access, Crystal Reports, etc. )
